About Us
Jim and Lisa Powers have been involved in Bridal shows since 1989.
After having exhibited in countless bridal shows, they began assisting in
the production of bridal shows in the early 1990s and produced their own
show in 2001. As evidenced by the
testimonials taken from the
Day of Elegance
Bridal Show, they have developed a very enthusiastic following of
vendors who keep coming back year after year to exhibit at the shows they
produce. Now, with the production of multiple bridal shows under their belt,
they feel they have a unique concept in producing bridal shows. “After being
exhibitors for so long, we knew what vendors were looking to get out of a
show. We make sure that each vendor has what they need to have a good show.
We check in at each booth several time during the day to see if there is
anything they need.” they explain. Married since 1984, they form the team
that publishes the monthly
Wedding Day
Sourcebook magazine, the area's only monthly wedding publication. They
currently produce 3 bridal shows annually in the Western Massachusetts area,
and are members of the
Bridal Show Producers International and the
Association for Wedding
Professionals International organizations.
“We have a full service promotion company at our fingertips. We produce
most of our marketing materials in house, and that includes print ads, TV
and Radio spots, postcards, flyers and all the rest of the materials needed
to run a show. We produce all our own signage and tickets also.” added Jim
Powers, the president of
Technigraphics,
the parent company of both
The Wedding Day
Sourcebook and bridal show production company,
CJC Events.
“Marketing is key to the success of any bridal show, and we market
extensively”. added Powers. As an example, he cited the advertising campaign
for their latest show. “We utilized all the major television network
affiliates that service the area. In addition, we use a variety of the
highest rated Radio stations in the area along with multiple print ads in
most of the major dailies and weeklies. “We need to get the word out, and in
addition to our magazine, we use all the media available”. added Powers
Lisa Powers enjoys going to conferences, open houses, networking events
and seminars to gain new ideas and knowledge for all the shows the company
produces. “We now have 3 dates each year that have different needs and there
are always many new ideas presented and shared at the conferences.” She
added. "The Wedding Day Sourcebook exhibits at every major bridal show in
the area, and we enjoy meeting brides-to-be and vendors and discussing local
wedding trends. We also enjoy assisting other producers when asked. It all
works out very well.” added Powers.
